Support Us
We are an Independent Charity
All proceeds from arboretum admissions, retail and events support the maintenance and development of our beautiful wild garden.
We receive no Government funding and rely entirely on the generosity of our visitors to ensure the arboretum remains open to the public for many years to come.
Batsford Arboretum is a charity and if you are a UK tax payer you can help us. The entry fee for Gift Aid includes a voluntary donation of an additional 10%, which allows us to claim Gift Aid Relief on the full admission price. Gift Aid donations may only be made in respect of you and your family. If you do not wish to make this 10% voluntary donation then please advise our ticket staff accordingly. Right of entry is the same.
Adopt a Tree
Adopting a tree is a great way to help us conserve our tree collection for generations to come. It also makes a great gift or a lovely way to celebrate a special event or commemorate a loved one.
All you have to do is choose a tree from any planted in the arboretum, make a note of its name and identification number and complete and return one of our adoption forms with a cheque for £250. If you’re a UK taxpayer don’t forget to gift aid your donation to help your money go further.
Your chosen tree will be exclusive to you and your personal, 50 word dedication will be entered in our book of commemoration which is available for viewing at the ticket office.
You’ll also receive four complimentary single use day tickets to visit your tree whenever you wish and, in the event of the tree you have chosen dying within 10 years of your adoption, you’ll be able to adopt another tree of your choice free of charge.
For more information about adopting a tree, pick up one of our leaflets or call us on 01386 701441 option 4 .
Donations and Legacies
Remembering us in your will is a wonderful way to secure the future of Batsford Arboretum. As a charitable trust we rely totally on donations and legacies to allow us to continue our vital work preserving and maintaining the arboretum.
However big or small your gift, it’s a great way to ensure your memories of the arboretum live on for others to enjoy, safeguarding our special tree collection and gardens for the future.
We would always recommend that you consult a solicitor to draw up or amend your will. This will ensure that your wishes are carried out, both in providing for loved ones and leaving gifts to your favourite charities.
We genuinely appreciate your support and if you’d like to talk further about making a bequest to Batsford, please speak to a member of the arboretum team at the ticket office on your next visit to Batsford, or email arboretum@batsfordfoundation.co.uk.
Our registered charity number is 1090796.
