We would like to let our members know about a change to the reciprocal admission arrangement between Batsford Arboretum and Westonbirt Arboretum.

For many years, Batsford members have enjoyed complimentary entry to Westonbirt Arboretum as part of our longstanding partnership. However, Westonbirt has recently reviewed and updated the terms of this arrangement.

From 1st July 2026, Batsford members visiting Westonbirt Arboretum will receive 2-for-1 admission when visiting with another paying adult. Members visiting on their own will be charged Westonbirt’s standard admission rate.

This change also applies in reverse. From 1st July 2026, Westonbirt members visiting Batsford Arboretum will receive 2-for-1 admission when visiting with another paying adult, with standard admission applying to solo visitors.

We understand that this change may be disappointing for some members, particularly those who have enjoyed complimentary reciprocal entry in the past. As this decision has been made by Westonbirt Arboretum, it is unfortunately outside of Batsford’s control. We wanted to let our members know as soon as possible so that you can plan future visits accordingly.

We are pleased that Batsford members will continue to enjoy complimentary entry to our other partner gardens:

  • Bodenham Arboretum, Worcestershire
  • Sir Harold Hillier Gardens, Hampshire

These reciprocal arrangements remain unchanged.

Although the benefit at Westonbirt has changed, we are grateful that our longstanding partnership will continue, allowing members of both arboreta to enjoy a valuable reciprocal offer.
